About the Filmmaker:
Majid Sabri was born in 1982 in Tehran, Iran. Director, animation supervisor, generalist and animator. Diploma and post-diploma in graphics and bachelor's degree in animation directing. I started my professional animation career in 2000 and produced my first international short animation called "Dream" in August 2021. And I have won international awards.

About the Filmmaker:
I am Hamid Reza Mahmoodi, 43 years old, who started my artistic activity in high school with the encouragement of a teacher. During high school, I was one of the members of the theater group and began writing different stories. After the end of high school, I began and completed filmmaking classes with the attendance of well-known masters of the artist, called Masoud Kimiai and Hamid Samandrian. Fuera del Ring - stop motion animation
Director Statement - Mario Durán Araujo
Outside the ring is a feel-good short film that showcases a real-life case of a Mexican wrestler that had an accident and became paralytic. He fought for a place on the Paralympics, with great success, but also with great endeavor.
This is a great story for a short film, and because of the pandemic situation, this live-action idea evolved into a stop motion project. With this animation style, I managed to make a better composition, now I could take off walls effortlessly, move my characters the way I wanted and take the camera movements to another level.
Early on I took the decision to change aspect ratios and color-grading depending on the mood of the scene, something that makes this 4-minute film a lot richer.
The original score is also fundamental to make this project work, taking an epic and uplifting approach. In the end, this short film was made to tell the viewers that they can accomplish a lot of things when they take their time and learn from their mistakes, and if they lose something in the way, it´s still possible.

The Painterist - short film
"Soul is not for sale."
The word,' Painterist' was coined for this short film; its title is often mistaken as "Paint" although it is "Pain". This fictional biopic story is about the life of a fine artist, whose name was Shahid. Being an unknown painter, he had been selling his artwork to a dilettante lady, Tanya, for a fistful of money.
One day he comes to know, he was selling his soul!
Intellectual piracy is motif of this avant-garde movie. "The Painterist" acknowledges and appreciates the artistic ardour of those creators who have been ripped off by art-stealing, credit-hijackers in this bandit territory, but their passion is unpoachable.

The Painterist is a short experimental film dealing with a theme, which is an unfortunate reality in today's world; of depriving an author, artist or broadly speaking, the creator from his or her credit and compensation or both, by stealing his or her work.
