This first time ever event, gathers 
actors and filmmakers from 
the local community, 
to create a series of EDUtainment 
(Education + Entertainment) 
short films due to be screened 
on 04/03/2020.

Influencers, Filmmakers, Writers, Actors, Directors, Cinematographers and more, have joined our very important global movement to tell creative stories, which aim to help people become more financially literate.
Our Film Festival and Films

What kind of movies can we expect to watch?
Bite-size and thought-provoking short films, 
created with the help of the 
entire global community.
Q&A with the filmmakers 
will follow each short film,
moderated by a host.
We use ART and we use 
CREATIVITY to 
tell important stories.
Our aim is to ensure that
this information reaches
underserved communities.
Hollywood working professionals are contributing their talent to this festival, ranging all the way to a brand new female student Director, from a local High School. 
Financial Services Professionals are working with the filmmakers to help fund their short film projects and bring them to life.
This platform has provided an opportunity for local talent and filmmakers to receive free training in their craft, with the "Teach. Coach. Mentor." program.
After the training, the filmmakers and actors were offered  a platform to put their new skills to the test by creating a short film with a team. 
The best part about all of this; the people involved are part of the first wave of visionaries who combine Education, the Arts and Finance people with a model that benefits the entire community.
We are releasing a massive amount of original financial literacy video content, for free to the general public.

Winners announced! Financial Literacy Film Festival 2024 Lost Hills / Wasco

  Winners are announced! The Financial Literacy Film Festival / Free Community Breakfast was a huge success yesterday. Lost Hills Union School really has leadership and staff who care about the students, their parents and the local community. We came together to break the stigma surrounding money talk and to help reduce recidivism, before it starts. A very special thanks to the Kern County Sheriff's Department, US Bank, and numerous prominent universities for joining us in promoting financial literacy. The event featured a free community breakfast, open to all, and free swag bag giveaways along with a live art competition. Filmmaker, Juan Carlos Sanchez did a great job on the mic as he shared his story, introduced several sponsors and the Keynote speaker, Mr. Alex Garcia, Mayor of Wasco, California. Roxanne Wright Director, Writer, Voice Actor Canada (Toronto, Ontario) Roxanne Angel Wright is a hard working, award winning film maker, who is apart of the BIPOC community. She strives to help not only those in need; she also pushes for positive change and wants to make a difference. Roxanne has been awarded The Leading Women Building Communities Award (Women in Leadership) from the Government of Ontario. Roxanne has a degree in Criminology and Justice Policies, a Law and Security Administration diploma, a Developmental Services Worker and Early Childhood Assistant Certificate, and Montessori Educational Teacher Assistant Certification.
